Bonds all the difference behind SF's 4 runs, but Benitez nearly chokes again

RFK fans chant "Ster-oids!", yell "BALCO Barry from the Bronx" (huh?), and flash paper asterisks -- then give standing O after Bonds crushes Livan fastball into Prince George's County; Bonds holds finger over lips and tells fans behind plate to "shoosh" after HR trot; with SF trailing 2-1 in 9th and one out, Alfonzo (slowest 31-year old ever) mercifully pops out with Vizquel on 1st, allowing Bonds to draw walk, leading to Alou's 3-run bomb; in bottom of inning, Benitez loads bases, yields run, saves game anyway on do-or-die catch by Linden.

4-3 win at DC    |    70-80
