What's for Breakfast? A couple of HRs off Tomko

What a lovely way to start the day: by 9:45 am (PST), ex-Red Tomko shows wildness, walks some guys, and even gives up a 2-run HR to Griffey (the guy Seattle traded in return for Tomko in 1999); a typical Tomko game, he again gets into much trouble, pitches well enough to win, but his long innings are so drawn out that the offense falls asleep and scores few runs; Tomko has now lost a career-high 13 games, and he's got an outside shot at losing 20.

4-2 loss at CIN   |   53-67   |   Benitez back, retires 2 of 2

It's not as though they didn't hit.A professional baseball team should expect to score more than two runs if they get ten hits. They were done by my (ruined) lunch.
